La rieducazione posturale con il metodo Mézières nasce nel secondo dopoguerra nel 1947 per opera della fisioterapista Françoise Mézières ed è progettata per essere eseguita individualmente trattando il paziente secondo una prospettiva globale.
La RIEDUCAZIONE POSTURALE INDIVIDUALE con il metodo Mézières è una rieducazione che permette di ridurre le tensioni muscolari e di riequilibrare le diverse catene muscolari e articolari migliorando la postura e di conseguenza alleviando il dolore avvertito dal paziente.
L’azione congiunta di ossa, muscoli e articolazioni consente la mobilità globale del corpo umano; con il tempo però si possono generare squilibri che potrebbero portare ad avvertire dolore o generare infortuni.

– allungare le catene muscolari retratte
– equilibrare la respirazione
– portare il paziente a migliorare la consapevolezza del proprio corpo
Elemento fondamentale per la riuscita del trattamento è la partecipazione attiva del paziente lavorando su aspetti educativi e preventivi riportando in armonia la postura assunta.
La terapia di rieducazione posturale generalmente si compone di un ciclo di trattamenti non inferiore alle dieci sedute, ciascuna della durata di cinquanta minuti e fissate a cadenza settimanale.
